We are an independent, non-partisan, non-profit
organization composed of taxpayers living or doing
business in the city of
Manchester, New Hampshire. All are welcome to join: Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and others.
We are dedicated to being
an advocate for taxpayers - who want to keep taxes
low and the tax rate stable.
We work to promote
Yankee Frugality in city government as a way of
easing the tax burden on city taxpayers.
We believe the only
"special interest" in government should be the taxpayers
from whom government draws its resources.
We are the fiscal watchdogs of city
government and aggressively resist unwarranted taxes in
the form of overpriced public works projects
and other ill-advised public expenditures. We
challenge city government to be accessible, responsive,
efficient and fair.
We will provide
criticism when warranted, praise when earned, and
constructive recommendations whenever possible and
prudent.
